Reason: So you guys had presence the entire time? Through the storm there was always at least some Louisiana National Guard in the building? There's much more and it sheds interesting light on what we the public were being told by the media and what the real story was on the scene. Seems to me the MSM is being pretty slow to give the public updates to this continuing story.
Bush: Always. There was hundreds of Louisiana Guard guys there, yeah.

Inside the Superdome During Katrina- A View from a National Guardsman
Matt Welch has a very interesting article about the MSM's reporting from New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina. He interviews Major Ed Bush, public affairs officer for the Louisiana National Guardwho was in the Superdome from Sunday before the storm until the following Friday. He has some very clear words about the circumstances inside the Dome and how those words differ from what was being reported by the media.
